Exploring Mexico Cities

I love the history of Mexico, particularly the Aztec and Maya Indians. Mexico was actually the capital once of the grand Aztec empire which existed at around 1325 to 1521. The Aztec people were once the mightiest people who lived in the valley where Mexico now lies. Then, they were able to conquer all living beings in the valley wherein mexico cities are now located. The Aztecs and their first buildings date to about 200 BC.

The story is that the Aztec people actually did see this view of the lake Taxcoco and they stayed and built the city of Tenochtitlan. The story of the Aztecs and Tenochtitlan said on the crest of the Mexican flag.

Apparently, when an explorer named Cortez saw Tenochtitlan, he was overwhelmed by its beauty, sophistication, and size. In 1500, it is estimated that between 200,000 to 250,000 people lived in Tenochtitlan, which was more than four times the population of London, England at the time. Finally, in May 1521, Tenochtitlan was conquered by Cortez. By way of colonization, her background and rituals was also passed to Mexico. The country’s background is the outcome of the mixing of original and Spanish traditions, foods, music, religion, and architecture.
